Everything on a small scale at this hotel

We stayed four nights as part of an EasyJet package. We were disappointed with the room as everything was on the small side. The room was very small with the bed taking up all of the space. My husband and I could not pass the end of the bed without waiting for the other one to finish what they were doing! Even then you had to move sideways! The shower cubicle was tiny and my husband who’s not big struggled to get in. There was a horrible smell in the room all the time ( drains?) which would go if you opened the window but then you had the noise of the traffic. The room was very hot. There was air conditioning but it didn’t seem to work very well and it was turned off during the day so you always returned to a hot room. We did open the window at night but the noise from outside was too much to stay asleep. I was glad I’d bought slippers as the floor throughout the hotel ( room and general areas) is pretty disgusting and well past its sell by date. On the plus side the bed was clean and towels were changed everyday. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok - all cold food with no option for any cooked food so we went out one day. Perhaps this is typical of a 3 star in Rome but it wasn’t a room you wanted to spend any time in! Our friends were in a 4star hotel and paid not a lot more so do your research.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Concordia for 3 nights. We booked an Economy Double Room (which was the only type available for our stay). Room was very small which was fine. Had a safety deposit box and mini fridge with a kettle for tea and coffee. Bathroom was an ok size, shower cubicle felt very small however. The room looked out on to a back alley. The hotel is in a great location and staff are very polite and helpful. Main reception area and the breakfast room are nice. The rooms are clean and fine as a base when exploring Rome. The price for our stay was very reasonable. They have a rooftop terrace that we never managed to see when we were there. Lots of stairs up to the rooms and terrace (which is to be expected in Rome). They do have a lift that fits 1 person at a time but did not use. Some points which could be improved: The bed frame was very noisy and creaky every time you moved, mattress quite hard which I didn’t mind but my husband felt it was uncomfortable and it dipped in the middle. There is no soundproofing at all. I could hear people in the next room coughing, their shower running, etc and people out in the corridor. We had some kind of generator/unit outside our room which made noise at intervals day and night. Also bottle bins being filled/emptied early in the morning which is loud if you have the window open. If I was returning to this hotel I would try to book another room type, possibly on another side of the building and one that had a nicer view.

Really quaint, charming historical hotel. Wonderful staff. Very helpful and always friendly. Our room was small but well organized and clean. Very comfortable bed and nice bedding. Fresh towels and refreshed every day. Great aircon and little fridge in room with water bottles. Breakfast included served on beautiful terrace on rooftop. Really enjoyed Breakfast, great selections and fresh made coffee (cappuccino, expresso, ect.) Sweet and salty selections. Wonderful service from breakfast and front desk. Adorable little lift only holds 1 person and luggage or 2 small adults. Super cute. Loved the whole feel of the hotel. Felt very authentic. Location is fantastic. Really close to trevi fountain and Spanish steps literally like 5 minutes walk to fountain and even closer to steps. If your looking for big and modern this isn't for you. If you want charming,historical,great service and location this hotel is for you. Loved my stay and would definitely stay there again!!!! Thank you Alessia and staff for a great stay!!!

Small room in a good location. The Staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast on the rooftop was excellent. We booked well in advance and got a very good tariff, so it felt like a good value proposition. Rooms in Rome seemed very expensive at this time of year, probably due to supply and demand. Would stay here again.

The Concordia hotel is ideally located in the heart of Rome. The Rooms are small but functional and clean. Breakfast is a cold buffet which is tasty and served on a stunning terrace in Summer. Watching the sun go down with a glass of fizz from the terrace away from Romes busy streets is a must.The staff were amazing and really nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely return to the Concordia hotel.
